In 1957 for the first time, Rambler became a separate make with no Nash or Hudson badging. Outwardly the Rambler gained only a mild facelift for ’57. These cosmetic changes included a new “R” hood medallion, reshuffled trim, and a “T-shaped” grille ornament to fill the void above the egg-crate section.

Under the hood the six-cylinder 195.6 cid from Nash was retained, but for the first time a V -8 became available. This four door Custom Sedan listed for $2,213 with 10,520 produced.

This car was driven across country from Washington, DC to Tacoma, WA by Doug
LeMay in the Great Race in 2005.
