This was the first year of a V-8 offering in the Nash line-up. The 1955 Ambassador (and Statesman) were revised versions of the 1952 “Golden Anniversary” styling of Pinin Farina. American buyers continued lukewarm to European styling in the ’50s and Nash occupied 10th place in the industry.
