This Packard is a custom coach built automobile built on the same Packard Custom 180 – Super 8 chassis as the more popular Packard Darren. This fine automobile is one of only three built by the Rollston Inc., a New York based custom coach company founded in 1938, this one reputedly built for the president of Packard. The majority of over 700 custom bodies built by Rollston used Packard chassis.  The 180 Custom – Super 8 was powered by a 356 cid engine producing 160 horsepower. The open town car has two tops for over the chauffeur’s compartment, one made of leather and one canvas. The removable top was what differentiated a town car from a limousine. This fine town car features two radios, silk curtains, built-in intercom, jump seats, and a bar.
