The Dodge Weapons Carrier was a ¾ ton, four-wheel-drive vehicle produced for the military from 1942 through the end of World War II. This popular military vehicle came in 12 different models; weapons carriers with and without winch, carryall, ambulance, gun motor carriage, command/reconnaissance car with and without winch, radio car, telephone maintenance, emergency repair chassis, light maintenance truck and knock down ambulance.  The models equipped with winches featured either a 5000 pound capacity or 7500 pound capacity Braden MU-2 winch. This vehicle is powered by a Dodge built 230 cid, six-cylinder engine capable of producing 76 horsepower.  Total production of all models exceeded 260,000. These military vehicle remained in service through the Korean War.
