The J. W. Moon Buggy company was founded in 1894. The St. Louis based Moon Company began production of automobiles in 1905 and continued through 1930.

Moon’s first car was designed by Louis Moorers, the man behind the designs of Peerless. The Moon’s were high quality automobiles with a European style. They were aimed at the wealthier crowd, even though they didn’t have an eight cylinder engine available until 1928.
