The LeMay Trunk or Treat could not be possible without our wonderful trunk hosts. A Trunk host is and individual, club, or organization that brings one or more Halloween decorated vehicles, often the trunk of vehicle to the event. In the past the Trunk Host would hand out candy individuality to each child as they trick-or-treated though the event. COVID restrictions on gatherings would normally make this type of an event impossible. We found a way to keep everyone safe and still have fun this year by adjusting our event to accommodate social distancing requirements. Parents will drive their families through our Marymount grounds with the decorated trunks staged along the route. All trunk hosts will be at least ten feet apart, and the kids will receive a goody bag with candy as they leave the property. This solution will eliminate crowed lines and the need to hand out candy to each child individually while still allowing you to see all kids as they drive by admiring your creations. How can you help? Well, thanks for asking! We will need your help with:
- Providing candy ( we are asking, just like before, all Trunk host to bring 1000 individually wrapped pieces) when you arrive on the October 24th, or what would be even better is if you could drop it off by October 16th, allowing us to prepare as many goody bags before the event as possible. If it’s easier you can make a donation on the form below and we will purchase the candy for you.
- Sign-up online if you are interested in being a trunk host.
- Encourage your friends or other club members to be a Trunk Host
Trunk Host Signup closes on Tuesday, October 20th.
